Architecture of Scientific Scale
Who We Are
Applied science | Institutional building | Networked health systems
Agenscia is a foundational initiative dedicated to collaboratively building a new national ecosystem that connects science, public policy, implementation, and adoption in healthcare in Brazil.
Our purpose is to help reduce the long-standing gap between scientific knowledge produced in the country and its effective translation into impact within the Unified Health System (SUS), industry, and society.
We recognize that Brazil has strong scientific excellence and innovation capacity, but still faces structural challenges in transforming research into solutions adopted at scale.
Agenscia is not a direct execution organization, nor an isolated project. Its role is institutional: to help structure, together with partners, the foundations, criteria, and conditions that enable sustained collaboration across the ecosystem.
At this stage, Agenscia is focused on its foundational phase and the development of strategic alliances. Our priority is to build a collaborative network with universities, hospitals, governments, foundations, and private sector partners, while establishing governance, priorities, and operational foundations for future initiatives.
From the outset, we adopt a progressive approach to institutional construction, recognizing the limits of our current phase while prioritizing rigor, legitimacy, and long-term public impact.
Agenscia is, above all, an institutional invitation to collective construction—a call for actors across the Brazilian ecosystem to work together in building a new sector dedicated to science-to-health integration.
Our Principles
The development of Agenscia is guided by a set of institutional principles that shape decisions, partnerships, and priorities throughout its foundational phase.
Scientific rigor
Evidence-based decisions, technical quality, and public relevance.
National collaboration
No infrastructure is built alone. Scale requires coordinated institutional action.
Social and economic impact
Applied innovation must generate public value, sustainability, and tangible benefits for the healthcare system.
Progressive governance
Transparency, clear criteria, and institutional legitimacy under construction.
Talent development
People are the foundation of sustainable innovation in health. We support the development of scientific capacity and national leadership.
Sovereignty and sustainability
We support Brazil’s scientific, technological, and productive autonomy with a long-term strategic perspective.
Agenscia is committed to acting with transparency, institutional responsibility, and respect for the capacities and limits of each partner, avoiding impact promises that cannot yet be substantiated.
