Gustavo Scola
MBiotech, PhD

CEO & Founder

Agenscia is led by Gustavo Scola, responsible for the strategic conception, institutional structuring, and ecosystem articulation that supports the initiative in its foundational phase.

With over a decade of experience in science, technology, and health innovation, his trajectory has been built at the intersection of scientific research, public policy, and the development of solutions with real-world impact. His background combines strong academic training, international experience, and leadership in complex innovation environments.

Trajectory and International Experience

Throughout his career, he has held management positions in internationally recognized organizations such as the Ontario Brain Institute and the Stem Cell Network (Canada) — institutional models designed to connect universities, hospitals, governments, and the private sector.

In these roles, he contributed to the management of over CAD $100 million in public and private investments, supporting the evaluation, prioritization, and acceleration of scientific technologies with clinical and social application potential.

The Origin of Agenscia

Agenscia emerges from practical experience and a clear understanding of the gaps between scientific knowledge produced in Brazil and its translation into public policy, health systems, and accessible solutions for society.

Rather than focusing on isolated projects, the goal is to build structured and coordinated pathways so that scientific innovation can generate continuous public value—strengthening the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and contributing to national technological sovereignty.

What we are currently building

Agenscia is in its foundational phase and currently operates with a lean structure focused on:

  • Structuring the foundations for future team expansion, including a scientific advisory board and operational areas
  • Developing governance and institutional processes
  • Building partnerships with public, private, and scientific stakeholders

Long-Term Vision

To strengthen Brazil’s scientific and technological sovereignty by increasing the country’s capacity to transform science into sustainable public impact in health.
